Youth Congress Platform Builds Future Political Leaders, Says Telangana Advisor Shabbir Ali

Hyderabad — Telangana Government advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Monday described the Youth Congress as an essential institution for cultivating tomorrow's political leaders, calling on young party members to champion public interests and build organisational strength at the community level.
Speaking at the Bhiknoor Mandal executive committee gathering held at SV Garden in Bhiknoor town, Shabbir Ali pointed to numerous prominent figures across Telangana and India who had risen through the Youth Congress ranks. He drew on his own trajectory, recounting how he participated in political agitations early in his career and endured a month-long imprisonment during an Assembly protest campaign.
These formative experiences, he explained, became the bedrock of his subsequent political advancement, enabling him to attain ministerial status at just 32 years of age. The advisor noted that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy similarly values the commitment and sacrifices demonstrated by young party activists.
"Only those with genuine dedication and a willingness to struggle will build sustainable political futures," Shabbir Ali remarked, stressing that the party consistently recognises and rewards hardworking members with opportunities for advancement.
He pressed youth leaders to remain connected with communities, understand their grievances, and actively oppose corruption and policies detrimental to ordinary citizens. He particularly emphasised establishing Congress committees in every village as critical to strengthening the party's presence.
During the event, Shabbir Ali formally presented appointment letters to newly selected mandal and town presidents. State Youth Congress leader Mohammed Ilyas and District Youth Congress president Madhusudan were also present.
Later that day, Shabbir Ali attended housewarming functions for beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing initiative in Rameshwarampally village within Biknoor mandal. Addressing the residents, he highlighted how the state government's welfare programmes aim to enhance living conditions for economically disadvantaged households.
The Indiramma housing scheme, he explained, is designed to ensure dignified shelter for those currently without homes. The government has allocated 3,500 houses per Assembly constituency and is distributing them to qualified applicants. Shabbir Ali noted that efforts to uplift rural communities extend across housing, schooling, healthcare provision, and job creation initiatives.
