Voltas' UMPESL Partners with Danitech to Boost Textile Technology Innovation in India

Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services Limited (UMPESL), the wholly owned subsidiary of Voltas Limited—a Tata Enterprise—has concluded a strategic agency agreement with Danitech Group, a prominent global player in advanced textile dyeing, finishing, and automation solutions. The partnership involves Danitech Engineering & Solutions Srl based in Italy and its Chinese subsidiary, Suzhou Danitech Intelligent Technology.
Under the terms of this agreement, UMPESL will function as the sole authorized partner responsible for promoting, marketing, providing technical guidance, and delivering after-sales services for Danitech's complete product range and integrated solutions throughout India. The collaboration will maintain tight coordination with Danitech's global headquarters to ensure the delivery of premium-quality technologies to Indian clients.
The partnership merges Danitech's sophisticated engineering expertise with UMPESL's extensive market reach, track record of successful project implementation, and comprehensive service infrastructure across the nation.
Drawing on more than seven decades of operational history, UMPESL has built a reputation as a dependable provider of comprehensive textile solutions spanning the complete production chain—from yarn manufacturing to apparel production—supplemented by advanced engineering capabilities and customer-focused support systems.
The alliance is anticipated to substantially enhance India's textile sector's capacity to access state-of-the-art processing equipment, intelligent automation platforms, and energy-conserving technologies, complemented by dependable ongoing service coverage. The formal signing ceremony brought together Mr. Danilo Cagnazzi, Danitech's Chairman, and Mr. Pradip Roy, UMPESL's Head of Textile Division. Also present were Mr. B. Saikumar, Head of Post Spinning at UMPESL, and Ms. Jie Yin, CEO of Danitech.
