Hyderabad — A senior police officer has called on students to resist the urge to panic as Telangana Class 10 results approach, while simultaneously urging parents to stand by their children emotionally during this time.

V. C. Sajjanar, a prominent IPS officer, drew attention to troubling incidents that have surfaced following Intermediate examination results, emphasizing that numerical scores should never determine the trajectory of someone's life or potential.

The officer stressed that parents must embrace their children unconditionally, regardless of academic performance. He cautioned families against imposing unrealistic expectations and performance-related stress on young learners.

Sajjanar highlighted the importance of vigilance in the period following result announcements. Parents should maintain close contact with their children, he advised, particularly if they display signs of withdrawal, seclusion, or emotional distress. Regular interaction and reassurance can help alleviate anxiety and build confidence during vulnerable moments.

A Single Exam Is Not Life's Measure

Sajjanar reassured students that a Class 10 examination outcome will not alter the fundamental direction of their lives. He characterized academic examinations as transient milestones rather than definitive markers.

The officer cautioned against hasty or drastic responses triggered by disappointing grades or examination failure. Such reactions, he noted, inflict lasting trauma on families without resolving underlying challenges.

He encouraged students to view failure as a stepping stone toward future achievement rather than a terminal point. Sajjanar pointed to numerous globally acclaimed figures who faced academic struggles early in their lives yet ultimately achieved distinction through persistence and dedication.

The Role of Educators and Open Communication

Sajjanar also addressed educators, urging them to engage thoughtfully with students during this delicate phase. Teachers, he suggested, should reinforce the message that setbacks are temporary and that numerous pathways remain available for those who persist.

The officer underscored that wellbeing supersedes examination scores. He encouraged students to confront disappointing results with resolve and self-belief.

Sajjanar concluded by emphasizing that students should communicate openly with parents, peers, or trusted individuals whenever they experience stress, apprehension, or emotional turbulence.
