Traffic Restrictions Begin on Uppal Ring Road for Elevated Corridor Construction

Hyderabad's traffic management authorities announced a series of temporary restrictions and route changes on Monday affecting the Uppal Ring Road, necessitated by ongoing construction work on the Uppal–Narapally Elevated Corridor's support pillars.
The bus terminus that previously operated near the Uppal GHMC Office has been relocated to Nalla Cheruvu Katta. Passengers intending to travel to Warangal, Hanumakonda, and Yadagirigutta must now use this temporary stop for boarding.
The Uppal Ring Road section heading towards Warangal has been closed to through traffic beginning Sunday morning. In response, traffic officials have outlined specific alternate routes for different directions of travel.
Motorists coming from Warangal and heading into Hyderabad should turn onto Uppal Bhagayath after passing Mayfeel Hotel. From there, they should proceed towards Nagole, utilize the service road, and execute a U-turn beneath the flyover structure.
For those travelling from Hyderabad towards Warangal, the recommended route begins at the junction near Pista House and the Survey of India landmark. Drivers should then navigate through Beerappa Gadda before connecting to NH-163 in the direction of Warangal.
Given the restricted width of Uppal Bhagayath Road, authorities have issued special guidance for heavy commercial vehicles. Buses and freight lorries originating from Warangal and bound for Hyderabad should take the Outer Ring Road via Hayathnagar instead. Similarly, heavy vehicles travelling from Hyderabad to Warangal should use the LB Nagar–Hayathnagar Outer Ring Road and proceed through Ghatkesar.
Authorities have urged all commuters to plan journeys accordingly and cooperate with police and traffic management personnel to maintain orderly traffic flow during the construction phase.
