UPES has demonstrated robust momentum in its 2026 placement cycle, with more than 2,100 students securing positions as of mid-season. The university has extended 2,677 offers to date, with over three-quarters of eligible candidates now placed. The highest compensation package offered this season stands at ₹54 lakh per annum, while the overall average compensation reaches ₹7.42 lakh annually.

The placement drive has attracted participation from 704 recruiters, underscoring sustained industry confidence in UPES graduates. Among the companies actively recruiting are Kanam LLC, CRED, Razorpay, Cisco, Oracle, Salesforce, Deloitte, EY India, KPMG, NielsenIQ, ExxonMobil, Britannia Industries, HSBC Technology India, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, ZS Associates, ICICI Bank, and Dell Technologies.

Hiring activity spans multiple sectors, with information technology and IT-enabled services leading the way at 36.6% of placements. Education and educational technology follows at 14.86%, while legal services account for 9.1%. Research and consulting roles comprise 8.7% of placements, with banking, financial services, and insurance representing 8.0%. Energy, power, and utilities sectors, alongside manufacturing, each account for approximately 2.7% of the placement mix. Healthcare, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and logistics round out the remaining opportunities.

The top 10% of candidates have secured an average compensation of ₹16.60 lakh annually. Among the 122 Category A recruiters—those offering packages above ₹8 lakh—hiring reflects a notable shift toward premium, high-quality roles.

The School of Computer Science has led placement efforts, with 941 students placed against 1,320 offers received. This school achieved the season's highest package of ₹54 lakh and a top 10% average of ₹20.42 lakh. The School of Business has placed 731 students from 838 offers, with maximum compensation at ₹27.3 lakh. The School of Law has achieved 230 placements from 246 offers, reaching ₹16.2 lakh at the top end with an 87.12% placement rate. The School of Advanced Engineering has recorded 127 placements from 161 offers, with the highest package at ₹22.8 lakh and an 86.99% placement rate. Placement activity continues across the School of Health Sciences & Technology, School of Design, and School of Liberal Studies & Media.

Registrar Manish Madaan attributed the strong performance to UPES's industry-connected academic model. "The robust mid-season results demonstrate the strength of our industry partnerships and the relevance of our teaching approach," he stated. "Students are being selected not simply in volume, but across varied, forward-looking roles spanning technology, consulting, business, law, engineering, healthcare, design, and media. This success validates our transdisciplinary, industry-integrated curriculum approach, which incorporates real-world projects, mentorship, and active corporate collaboration to ensure students can make meaningful contributions immediately upon graduation."

The diversity of hiring across sectors reflects the expanding employment landscape for UPES graduates, with the university positioning itself to prepare students for both established industries and emerging employment domains.
