University of Hyderabad Registrar Honoured with Educational Excellence Pioneer Award

Hyderabad: Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar of the University of Hyderabad, has been conferred the Educational Excellence Pioneer Award – 2026 in recognition of his significant contributions to higher education administration and institutional governance.

The honour was bestowed at the Hyderabad Education Conclave 2026, held at The Park Hyderabad. The award recognises Dr. Nigam's efforts in fortifying administrative frameworks, spearheading institutional reforms and fostering governance models that prioritise student welfare in the higher education landscape.

The conclave, organised by Plus Nineone Media under the banner "Uniting School & Higher Education Leaders", assembled an array of education policymakers, vice-chancellors, principals and academic administrators from across India. The gathering provided a platform for participants to deliberate on critical matters influencing the trajectory of India's education sector.

During his tenure as Registrar of the Institution of Eminence, Dr. Nigam has been instrumental in strengthening governance frameworks, fostering academic partnerships and enhancing operational efficiency at the university.

The award was conferred by Sandeep Gulati, Founder and CEO of Plus Nineone Media, and Ashutosh Dubey, Co-Founder of the organisation. The recognition underscored Dr. Nigam's accomplishments in propelling institutional excellence and facilitating robust academic management practices.

The conclave featured comprehensive deliberations on artificial intelligence's role in education, partnerships between school and higher education sectors, employability-driven curricula aligned with the National Education Policy, and sweeping policy reforms. Participants also examined emerging challenges and opportunities confronting the education landscape.

Key speakers at the event included Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer of AICTE under the Ministry of Education; Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Council for Higher Education; and A. Sridevasena, Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education in the Telangana government.
