Man Dies After Being Struck by Train Near Secunderabad Railway Station

Hyderabad: A man believed to be between 55 and 60 years old lost his life after being struck by a train near the railway corridor connecting Lalaguda and Moulali on the Up Main Line in Secunderabad on June 24.

The Secunderabad Railway Police received notification of the fatality from the Deputy Station Superintendent before 1:45 pm. The Station House Officer subsequently registered the incident under Crime No. 326/26 and assigned an investigating officer to probe the circumstances.

Initial findings suggest the victim may have been attempting to cross the railway tracks when the incident occurred, though other possibilities remain under examination. Authorities believe the man was struck by a train whose identity could not be immediately determined, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed no identification documents or personal items on the body that could aid in establishing the man's identity. Based on his appearance, police believe he was Hindu. At the time of the incident, he was dressed in a white full-sleeve shirt with black stripes and black cotton trousers. A distinguishing feature—a mole on the left side of his chest—has been noted in case records.

The deceased's body has been transferred to the appropriate authorities for legal procedures. Investigators are actively working to determine who the man was and the precise details of how the accident unfolded.
