Hyderabad's centring workers staged a protest on Saturday that drew backing from Telangana Rakshana Sena chief K Kavitha. The demonstration was organised by the Greater Hyderabad Centring Contractors Association near Indira Park.

Kavitha levelled criticism at the administration headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, asserting that it has not adequately addressed the grievances of centring workers. She called on the Chief Minister to engage in dialogue with representatives of the workers' community within a 48-hour window.

The rally also saw participation from LB Nagar MLA Sudheer Reddy and Jana Sena leader Prem Kumar.

Emphasising her commitment to the cause, Kavitha indicated she would personally join a sit-in protest if the government did not move to resolve the workers' concerns by the stipulated deadline. She characterised the demands being articulated by the centring workers as legitimate and justified.

Kavitha pledged that her party would stand alongside the workers in their struggle. She further indicated that should the TRS come to power in Telangana, it would tackle the underlying issues affecting these workers. The party leadership outlined plans to expand education and healthcare access across the state following an electoral victory.
