Congress Sets Up Electoral Roll Monitoring Panel Across Telangana

Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has established a dedicated monitoring panel to oversee the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls taking place throughout the state, party president Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud announced on Friday.

The newly constituted committee will liaise directly with election authorities to ensure the revision process proceeds smoothly and address any complications that emerge during the exercise.

Pulipati Rajesh Kumar has been named to lead the Election Commission Coordination Committee, with responsibility for maintaining contact with election officials overseeing the revision work. Separately, Gampa Venu Gopal has been assigned to handle the Congress party's internal administrative responsibilities connected to the revision initiative.

The party has also designated coordinators for each of Telangana's 17 parliamentary constituencies, including Adilabad, Karimnagar, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Chevella, Nalgonda, Warangal, and Khammam, among others.

According to Rajesh Kumar, the monitoring committee will maintain continuous engagement with Booth Level Agents, Assembly representatives, and Members of Parliament throughout the revision period. The panel is tasked with flagging any difficulties encountered during the process to the Election Commission for swift resolution.

The Congress party framed the initiative as a measure to facilitate effective coordination and resolve concerns regarding voter registration during the Special Intensive Revision exercise.
