TG Organics App Launched to Connect Farmers Directly With Consumers in Telangana

Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao unveiled the TG Organics application on Monday at Rythu Varotsavalu in Tandur, Vikarabad district, as part of the Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika initiative.
The launch was accompanied by the inauguration of an organic products exhibition centre at the same location. Speaking at the event, the minister highlighted the Congress government's commitment to agricultural advancement, noting that the administration has rolled out multiple farmer-focused schemes and is implementing transformative changes across the sector.
The TG Organics platform has been developed to facilitate organic farming and establish a direct connection between cultivators and buyers. Through the application, consumers can browse certified organic vegetables, fruits, and grains directly from farmers, eliminating intermediaries from the transaction process.
The app enables users to locate certified organic farmers within a 50-kilometre radius and contact them to place orders. Only products verified by the Telangana State Seed and Organic Certification Authority will be listed on the platform. By removing middlemen, the system aims to ensure farmers receive more competitive prices for their produce while offering consumers access to certified organic products across the state.
The minister informed attendees that the TG Organics app is available for download from the Play Store. He also announced that plans are in motion to establish a turmeric board in Tandur.
During his address, Thummala raised concerns about the Centre's approach to urea distribution, alleging that farmers face supply-related obstacles.
Tandur MLA Buyyani Manohar Reddy stated that farming has become economically viable under the current government and pledged efforts to supply irrigation water through the Kotpally and Juntupally projects.
The programme was attended by Agriculture and Cooperation Department Secretary Surendra Mohan, Vikarabad Collector Deepak Tiwari, and other government officials.
