Three Members of Family Perish in Head-On Collision on Medchal Road

A devastating collision on Hyderabad's Medchal road has claimed the lives of three family members, marking another tragedy on the region's highways.

The incident took place Thursday near Turkapally-Muraharipally when a car travelling from Karimnagar towards Hyderabad met with a fatal accident. According to law enforcement officials, the driver lost command of the vehicle, which first struck a road divider before veering into the opposite lane.

The car subsequently collided head-on with a heavy goods vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. The force of the impact proved fatal for all three occupants of the car, who died at the scene.

Emergency responders from Medchal police station arrived promptly after being alerted to the incident. Rescue teams extracted the bodies from the mangled wreckage and transported them to a nearby government medical facility for autopsy procedures.

The collision caused significant disruption to vehicular traffic along the highway, with congestion persisting for hours as authorities worked to clear the debris. Traffic flow was eventually restored after the damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident has been initiated by police authorities. Officials are currently engaged in the process of identifying the deceased victims and gathering additional information to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the collision.
