The Golden Tusk Launches Summer Getaway Package as Micro-Vacations Gain Traction Across India
Jim Corbett — Positioned on the southern boundary of Jim Corbett National Park, The Golden Tusk has rolled out a comprehensive Summer Vacation Package in response to surging demand for driveable short-break holidays. The move comes as North India experiences intense summer conditions, with recent weather patterns including scattered rainfall and dust storms before temperatures soared across the region.
Travel industry analysis for 2026 reveals a notable transformation in how Indians approach summer holidays. Bookings have climbed 18% compared to the previous year, driven by travellers who increasingly favour curated, all-encompassing packages that eliminate the hassle of day-to-day itinerary planning. Jim Corbett's proximity to major northern cities and year-round appeal has positioned it as a preferred destination for this demographic.
Anirudh Lakhotia, Director of Ivory Destinations, observed that the nature of summer travel has fundamentally shifted. "Families now want destinations that function as complete ecosystems, with activities organised from morning to evening," he noted. "The sudden heat spike this season has accelerated this preference. Parents seek genuine relaxation opportunities—whether by a pool or spa—while children remain engaged and entertained without screens."
The retreat centres on comprehensive comfort and minimal planning. The package encompasses all meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets plus traditional evening tea—alongside evening entertainment designed to foster a communal, celebratory atmosphere reminiscent of traditional family holidays.
Active guests benefit from extensive recreational infrastructure. Two expansive swimming pools and a separate children's pool anchor the facilities, complemented by courts for volleyball, badminton, and basketball. The resort also features a dedicated pickleball court, reflecting the sport's rapid expansion across urban India. Younger visitors enjoy structured craft sessions, indoor recreation areas, and outdoor play equipment catering to multiple age groups.
The wellness component includes a 10% reduction on spa treatments and a matching discount on meals at the Jungle Grill restaurant (beverages excluded). The package begins at ₹29,999 for a two-night, three-day experience. Visitors interested in wildlife exploration can arrange optional jeep safaris to traverse high tiger-density zones within the national park.
Lakhotia emphasised the resort's vision for transforming brief escapes into comprehensive experiences. "As the region faces another demanding summer, we're seeing families prioritise not just rest but substantive retreats that blend natural surroundings, wellness activities, and recreational options. Our objective is to ensure guests depart feeling rejuvenated and carrying memories that extend well beyond their time here," he concluded.
