Hyderabad: The 2026 EAPCET results have brought considerable attention to the performance of pupils enrolled at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS), with several securing top positions across agriculture and medicine disciplines. The strong showing has reinforced the standing of Telangana's residential educational institutions across the state.

Participants from the Colleges of Excellence (COEs) affiliated with TGSWREIS have demonstrated notable performance in entrance examinations, prompting officials from both education and welfare departments to commend the gurukul system's effectiveness.

Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar characterized the results as evidence of educational progress within Telangana's gurukul network. He highlighted that students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, including those from Dalit, tribal and rural communities, had displayed exceptional academic capability at the state level. The minister asserted that these outcomes validate the potential of gurukul students when institutional support and resources are made available.

The minister further noted that the government has prioritized the expansion and strengthening of gurukul education under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's administration. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, he stated, has ensured sustained investment in quality instruction, technology-enabled learning, specialized coaching programmes and preparation for competitive examinations.

Crediting the collaborative efforts of parents, educators and students, the minister emphasized that participants had surmounted economic constraints and geographical challenges to achieve noteworthy results. He characterized these accomplishments as beneficial for broader societal confidence in the system.

TGSWREIS Secretary (FAC) Kambhampati Sharada reported that gurukul participants demonstrated robust outcomes in SSC, Intermediate, JEE, NEET and EAPCET examinations during the current academic cycle, reflecting the institution's commitment to academic rigour.

She outlined that the institution's approach to academic oversight has shifted toward targeted preparation tailored to individual student capabilities. The system incorporates periodic comprehensive examinations, daily study protocols, extended learning blocks, subject-specific guidance and dedicated sessions for addressing conceptual gaps. Engagement with subject matter specialists has further bolstered student confidence levels.

Sharada acknowledged the commitment of faculty members in botany, zoology, physics and chemistry, noting their sustained dedication to student development. Teachers have maintained extended working hours to furnish comprehensive academic support, and have additionally assisted students in managing examination-related stress and sustaining psychological resilience.

The secretary observed that parental confidence in gurukul institutions has expanded, attributing this to the provision of quality curriculum, institutional discipline, secure environments and competitive examination preparation that has enabled economically disadvantaged pupils to access opportunities at the national level.

Sharada extended recognition to students, guardians, teaching staff, institutional heads and academic personnel for their collective contribution to these achievements. She reaffirmed the institution's commitment to pursuing enhanced outcomes in forthcoming national-level assessments.
