TGRTC Reassigns Tall Conductor to Roles Suited to His Physical Stature

Hyderabad — The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has reassigned one of its conductors to alternative duties after he encountered persistent challenges performing standard bus operations due to his considerable height.
Ameen Ahmed Ansari, who measures 198 centimetres tall, was previously granted a one-year Out of Designation posting with the aim of easing the physical strain associated with regular conductor work. When difficulties persisted beyond this temporary arrangement, TGRTC leadership determined that a more permanent solution was necessary.
The corporation has now placed Ansari in roles that better accommodate his physical requirements. The transport authority identified positions within the bus pass division and at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport as suitable alternatives for his continued employment.
According to TGRTC, the decision prioritises employee welfare while enabling Ansari to remain a productive member of the workforce without enduring physically demanding duties incompatible with his stature.
The reassignment demonstrates a pragmatic and compassionate approach by the transport corporation in addressing workplace challenges that arise from individual circumstances.
