Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society organised the LEAP conference at the Telangana State Forest Academy, aiming to enhance academic leadership standards and strengthen institutional accountability mechanisms across the state's minority educational sector.

The Leadership for Excellence and Accountability Program assembled institutional heads, principals and senior administrative officials from TGMREIS establishments in a bid to drive systemic improvements.

The gathering was attended by Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, alongside TGMREIS Vice Chairman and President Faheem Qureshi and Secretary B. Shafiullah.

In his remarks, Azharuddin emphasised education's pivotal role in building an equitable and progressive society. He underscored that educational institutions bear the responsibility of cultivating student aspirations, fostering self-confidence and developing future leaders.

The minister praised the performance of TGMREIS students, faculty and families, particularly highlighting their accomplishments in the Intermediate examinations and JEE Mains 2026. He attributed these results to the discipline, dedication and robust academic environment fostered within the system.

Azharuddin also recognised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's backing for minority welfare initiatives and educational quality enhancement programmes in Telangana.

Faheem Qureshi outlined TGMREIS's trajectory toward becoming a model institution that harmonises equity with academic excellence. The LEAP programme, he explained, would prioritise accountability reinforcement, operational efficiency improvements and the cultivation of a performance-focused institutional culture.

Qureshi identified rigorous preparation for competitive examinations—including IIT-JEE, NEET and Civil Services examinations—as central to the initiative. He also underscored the critical importance of systematic academic audits, evidence-based management practices and continuous performance monitoring systems.

Secretary B. Shafiullah reflected on TGMREIS's ten-year journey of institutional development and academic advancement. He indicated that forthcoming efforts would concentrate on elevating quality benchmarks, broadening avenues for excellence and fortifying accountability frameworks across the network of institutions.

The conference reinforced TGMREIS's dedication to fostering leadership-centred education, driving institutional transformation and empowering students within Telangana's minority educational landscape.
