TGCET 2026 Phase 2 Results Announced for Backlog Admissions in Telangana Schools

The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) made public the Phase 2 results for TGCET 2026 on Saturday, opening doors for students seeking admission through the backlog quota in welfare residential schools.

The examination, conducted on February 22 across Telangana, determines placement for unfilled positions spanning Classes 6 through 9 in these institutions. According to Chief Convener (FAC) Sharada, the results also encompass regular admissions for Class 8 at two Schools of Excellence—one for girls in Pargi and another for boys in Khammam, both operating under TGTWREIS.

Aspiring students can access their results through two official portals: tgswreis.telangana.gov.in and tgcet.cgg.gov.in.

Those who have secured admission must report to their assigned schools during the window between May 23 and June 7. The admission process requires candidates to present relevant documentation alongside two passport-sized photographs.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharada highlighted the vital contribution these gurukul institutions make in delivering quality education to rural communities and economically disadvantaged students. She encouraged both students and families to capitalise on this opportunity and emphasised the importance of adhering to the prescribed timelines for completing admission procedures.
