Tesla Opens Whitefield Experience Center in Bengaluru, Launches Model Y L Six-Seater SUV from ₹61.99 Lakhs

Tesla has launched its inaugural experience center in Whitefield, Bengaluru's prominent technology district, beginning May 14, 2026. The facility allows prospective buyers and existing customers to interact with the Model Y, recognized as the world's top-selling vehicle between 2023 and 2025, alongside the recently unveiled Model Y L.

The new venue represents Tesla's commitment to expanding electric vehicle accessibility across India's automotive market. Complementing the showroom opening, the company has also rolled out after-sales service operations in Whitefield to enhance customer support and ownership satisfaction in the Bengaluru region.

The Model Y L represents Tesla's latest offering tailored for the Indian market. This three-row electric SUV accommodates six passengers and carries a five-star safety certification from ANCAP. The vehicle delivers an estimated range of up to 681 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, and provides cargo capacity reaching 2,539 liters.

The design prioritizes passenger comfort through its three-row configuration, which maximizes headroom and legroom for both front and rear occupants. This layout positions the Model Y L as a comprehensive family vehicle combining practicality with performance.

Safety remains central to Tesla's engineering approach. Both the Model Y L and standard Model Y have achieved top-tier safety ratings across major international testing bodies: NHTSA and IIHS in North America, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China.

Charging infrastructure constitutes a critical component of Tesla's value proposition. The Model Y L can accumulate 288 kilometers of range within 15 minutes using Tesla Supercharging technology. This rapid-charging capability supports the company's "Plug In, Charge and Go" framework, designed to eliminate range anxiety for long-distance travel. Tesla has additionally established home charging support services throughout India to streamline the ownership experience.
