The event saw Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, distribute medals and recognitions spanning multiple domains of military excellence including academics, sports, physical training, outdoor training, weapon training and drill.
Among the standout recipients, Wing Cadet Captain Rahul Kumar claimed the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Gold Medal, while Wing Cadet Adjutant Ayush Singh Bisht secured the Silver Medal. Addressing the assembled cadets, Lieutenant General Varshney reflected on their four-year training journey, noting that the rigorous curriculum had developed them into assured and capable leaders equipped to function and command with autonomy. He pressed upon them the necessity to persist in their efforts and ready themselves for the complexities of contemporary warfare shaped by technological advancement. The General Officer referenced tactical lessons drawn from Operation Sindoor to underscore his point.
The Commandant further counselled the cadets to practice patience and deferred satisfaction while maintaining high standards of professional conduct throughout their service. He called upon them to embody the principle "Karm Hi Dharm"—the notion that duty itself is one's dharma—and dedicate themselves to national service with unwavering honesty and commitment.
Following the formal proceedings, Lieutenant General Varshney toured the Arts and Photography Exhibition on campus, which displayed the creative accomplishments of the officer cadets. The Chief Guest subsequently engaged with parents and family members in attendance.
