Telangana to Launch Week-Long Women's Empowerment Initiative from May 25

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has announced plans to conduct a statewide Women's Week from May 25 to 31, integrated into the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika programme framework.
Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka has instructed officials to execute the celebrations with considerable scale and ambition. The initiatives will concentrate on advancing women's empowerment, fostering economic independence, ensuring social security provisions, expanding educational access, and strengthening livelihood opportunities.

Attendees included Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Special Chief Secretary Dana Kishore, Commissioner Divya Devarajan, Women and Child Welfare Secretary Anita Ramachandran, and Director Shruti Ojha.
The government intends to provide financial and social reinforcement to women's collectives, according to Seethakka. She disclosed that the Chief Minister will inaugurate a solar power installation being developed by women's groups, positioning the facility as a demonstration of the economic capacity of women-led self-help organisations.
