Telangana's Class 10 Results Show Strong Performance as Girls Continue to Lead Boys

Hyderabad authorities announced the 2026 Telangana SSC examination results on Wednesday afternoon, revealing a noteworthy pass rate of 95.15% across the state's Class 10 cohort. The announcement was made by Government Adviser K. Keshava Rao, Education Secretary Yogita Rana, and School Education Director Naveen Nicolas.

Female candidates demonstrated superior performance, with 96.26% achieving passing grades, compared to 94.07% among male students—continuing a pattern of girls outperforming boys in the state's secondary education examinations.

Addressing the successful candidates, Keshava Rao extended his congratulations while offering counsel to those who did not pass. He discouraged hasty reactions during moments of emotional difficulty and instead encouraged unsuccessful students to focus their efforts on supplementary examinations, urging them to approach retakes with renewed determination.

Examination Timeline and Participation

The SSC examinations took place between March 14 and April 16 this year. According to Education Secretary Yogita Rana, 5,28,239 students sat for the examinations, with 4,97,312 securing passing marks.

School Performance Across Districts

The results highlighted significant variations in performance across institutions and regions. A total of 5,731 schools achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, though six private schools recorded no successful candidates.

Mulugu district emerged as the top performer statewide, recording a pass percentage of 99.30. In contrast, Hyderabad district registered the lowest pass rate among all districts at 89.23%.

Digital Access to Results

The Board of Secondary Education Telangana's official website remains the primary platform for result access. However, the education department has introduced an innovative alternative for students seeking their marks memos.

Through a new WhatsApp service, students can now obtain their results directly via the MeeSeva Telangana platform. The process requires saving the number 8096958096 as "MeeSeva Telangana," sending an initial "Hi" message, and selecting the SSC Result option from the available services. Upon entering their hall ticket number, students receive their marks memo instantly through the messaging application.

Year-on-Year Comparison

The 2026 results mark an improvement from the previous year's performance. In 2025, Telangana recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.78, with girls achieving 94.26% and boys securing 91.32%.
