Telangana Plans Statewide Celebrations for Praja Palana Drive Conclusion

The Telangana government has announced statewide celebrations to commemorate the conclusion of the 99-day Praja Palana drive, scheduled to run from June 2 through June 12.
The announcement followed a Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu. The gathering included Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, who reviewed the initiatives undertaken at village, mandal, constituency and district levels throughout the drive.
During the 12-day celebration period, the government will conduct Environment Week activities, launch road safety awareness initiatives, and implement anti-drug campaigns. Additional programmes will encompass women and child protection efforts, tourism promotion ventures and urban development projects. The administration will also oversee foundation stone laying ceremonies and inaugurations for renewable energy undertakings.
Officials were directed to maximise public engagement throughout the celebratory period, with ministers emphasising the importance of broad participation from citizens.
Insurance Survey Integration
The Cabinet Sub-Committee also examined the "Indiramma Family Life Insurance" scheme, which aims to extend social security protections to households throughout the state. Officials determined that a thorough door-to-door survey would be conducted to guarantee that all eligible families receive coverage.
To address any gaps in the initial survey process, the government will organise dedicated camps for residents who were initially missed. Public awareness initiatives will inform citizens about the scheme's advantages.
The committee approved the creation of a distinctive logo for the programme, with stickers to be affixed to residences where the survey has been successfully completed.
Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao instructed all departments to develop comprehensive action plans and submit them promptly. DGP C.V. Anand, Special Chief Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan, Vikas Raj, Naveen Mittal, Vani Prasad and Dana Kishore attended the meeting alongside other ranking officials.
Ministers emphasised the necessity for inter-departmental coordination to ensure seamless execution of all planned activities.
