Telangana to Honor Minority Students Excelling in Entrance and Intermediate Exams

Hyderabad: Telangana's government will host a special recognition ceremony for minority students who earned state ranks in the TG-EAPCET and Intermediate examinations, announced Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Advisor to the Telangana Government, on Thursday.
The event has been scheduled to take place after June 2, following directions from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to organize the gathering. During the ceremony, the state will distribute laptops and study materials to the high-achieving students.
Shabbir Ali made the announcement while honoring Mukram Ahmed at the Telangana Secretariat. Mukram achieved the top position in the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream of TG-EAPCET, scoring 150.17 marks. Approximately 80,000 candidates took the Engineering and Agriculture entrance examination across the state. Mukram, a student from TMREIS, has brought distinction to his school, faculty members, and family, the Advisor noted.
The recognition program reflects the expanding educational ambitions among minority communities in Telangana, Shabbir Ali stated. He emphasized that education serves as a crucial instrument for social and economic empowerment.
Multiple state-backed initiatives have enabled minority students to access higher education pathways, including a 4% reservation quota under BC-E category, fee reimbursement schemes, and pathways to professional degree programs. This academic year, roughly 1,400 students from minority backgrounds secured complimentary seats in government medical colleges across Telangana, with increasing numbers competing in specialized professional fields.
The Advisor also acknowledged exceptional performers from Sandeep Junior College in Kamareddy who achieved state-level recognition in Intermediate examinations.
Asma Jubin secured the second state rank in BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) second year with 996 out of 1,000 marks. In the same stream, Shariqa Muskan achieved the third state rank with 995 marks.
In the MPC (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) first year category, Huraya Dilsath earned the third state rank with 467 out of 470 marks. Ayesha Siddiqua secured the third state rank in BiPC first year with 436 out of 440 marks, while Afiya Tabbasum obtained the fourth state rank in the same stream with 435 out of 440 marks.
The accomplishments of these young women from economically modest backgrounds in Kamareddy demonstrate encouraging progress, Shabbir Ali remarked. The felicitation initiative is expected to inspire additional students to pursue excellence in higher education and competitive examinations.
The government aims to formally acknowledge academic accomplishments and foster continued advancement among students at both state and national levels, he added.
