Telangana Intermediate Board Extends Supplementary Exam Registration Deadline to May 4

The Board of Intermediate Education in Telangana has pushed back the registration deadline for supplementary examinations to May 4, providing students with additional time to complete their applications and fee payments.
The extension was formally announced on Saturday through an official statement issued by the Intermediate Board Secretary. Students wishing to participate in the supplementary assessments must submit their applications and pay the required fees by 5 pm on May 4. Those applying after the original deadline will be required to pay a late fee of Rs. 3,000 in addition to regular examination fees.
The supplementary examination window is open to first-year and second-year regular students, as well as candidates who did not succeed in the main examinations. The practical component of these examinations will follow after the theory papers conclude.
The supplementary examinations are scheduled to commence on May 13 and run through May 21, with practical assessments taking place from May 22 to May 25.
This year's regular Intermediate examination results were released on April 12, revealing a 70 per cent overall pass rate across the state. The second-year cohort demonstrated stronger performance, with 75.34 per cent of students passing, compared to 66.20 per cent of first-year students who cleared their examinations.
A total of 4,89,123 students sat for first-year examinations, while 4,53,932 students appeared for second-year examinations during the regular assessment cycle.
