Telangana Rolls Out Free Coaching Programme for Class 10 Examination Repeaters

The Telangana government has unveiled a comprehensive remedial coaching initiative targeting students from government institutions who did not pass their Class 10 board examinations this academic year.
The state's Education Department will establish specialised coaching camps designed to prepare unsuccessful candidates for their supplementary examination attempts. Two PM SHRI schools in each district across the state have been designated as coaching centres for this programme.
The intensive coaching sessions will operate between May 12 and June 3. During this period, experienced subject matter specialists will guide learners through critical examination topics while simultaneously working to rebuild their academic confidence ahead of the supplementary tests.
The government has committed to eliminating all financial impediments for participating students. Attendees will receive complimentary educational materials, including textbooks, writing instruments, and study resources. Additionally, meals will be provided each day throughout the coaching duration, and the state will cover all transportation costs for students commuting from their residences to the training venues.
Financial projections indicate that the state will invest approximately ₹1,100 per student to sustain the programme.
Officials emphasised that this initiative serves a dual purpose: ensuring that examination setbacks do not prompt students to abandon their academic pursuits, while simultaneously enhancing the performance metrics of government schools and strengthening public trust in the state's educational framework.
Government representatives acknowledged that numerous unsuccessful students lack the financial capacity to engage private tutoring services. This free coaching scheme represents the state's commitment to providing equitable opportunities for academic advancement. The programme aims to enable students to prepare without anxiety and achieve improved outcomes in their supplementary examinations.
