Telangana Formation Day Celebrations Rescheduled to Early Morning Amid Intense Heat

Hyderabad: Facing intense heat sweeping across Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has moved the state's Formation Day celebrations to an earlier time slot to shield participants and attendees from the scorching temperatures.

The official ceremony at the Parade Grounds will commence at 8:30 AM on June 2, with a directive to wrap up all activities within one and a half hours. This compressed schedule represents a significant departure from the typical timing of such state-level commemorations.

The streamlined programme will encompass the national flag hoisting ceremony along with other customary Telangana Formation Day observances. By shifting the event to the cooler morning hours, authorities aim to minimise heat-related discomfort for the assembled crowd.

The Chief Minister has emphasised the need for officials to coordinate all logistical aspects within the abbreviated timeframe. He has also mandated that appropriate provisions be arranged to ensure the wellbeing of both invited guests and members of the general public attending the celebrations.

Revanth Reddy's instructions underscore the growing concern over the prolonged heatwave conditions persisting throughout the state, with authorities taking preventive measures to safeguard public health during official functions.
