Telangana Endowments Department Alerts Public to Fraudulent Recruitment Scam

Hyderabad — The Telangana Endowments Department has cautioned the public about a deceptive recruitment advertisement making the rounds online, falsely promoting 190 Executive Officer positions within the department.
The spurious notification has surfaced across multiple websites and digital platforms, advertising contractual employment opportunities that do not actually exist. To combat the misinformation, Deputy Commissioner (Services) D. Krishna Prasad has written to the Information and Public Relations Department requesting urgent public notification about the fraudulent ads.
The counterfeit posting details the entire recruitment process, including online application procedures, written tests, interviews, and contract-based job offers. To enhance its credibility, the fake advertisement incorporates the government seal and the department's official name.
The department has explicitly stated that no such recruitment drive for Executive Officer positions is underway. Officials have characterised the advertisement as entirely fabricated and designed to deceive.
Authorities have emphasised that such misleading postings pose a significant risk to jobless individuals and those actively seeking employment, who may fall victim to the scam.
In response, the Endowments Department has filed a report with the Cyber Crime Police to initiate legal proceedings against those responsible for fabricating and distributing the false advertisement.
The department has instructed citizens to disregard such online job postings and has recommended that prospective candidates confirm all recruitment information exclusively through legitimate government sources and the official departmental portal.
Officials stressed that raising public awareness promptly is essential to counter false information and safeguard job seekers from becoming targets of fraud.
