Telangana Launches Statewide Education Week Initiative at LB Stadium

Hyderabad: The Telangana School Education Department is set to begin a comprehensive Education Week programme at LB Stadium this evening, marking a significant initiative under the Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika scheme.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to formally inaugurate the event at 5 pm. The week-long celebration will extend across Telangana from May 11 through May 17.

The initiative aims to demonstrate the government's commitment to bolstering state-run schools and raising educational quality across the region. A series of infrastructure and education-related projects specific to the CURE region will also be unveiled during the programme.

According to officials, the Education Week will prioritize enhancements to learning facilities and the strengthening of academic support mechanisms within government schools. The focus extends to modernizing physical infrastructure and fostering environments conducive to child-centric learning.

Throughout the seven-day period, the School Education Department plans to roll out school development initiatives, programmes recognizing student achievements, and teacher-focused activities. Enrolment campaigns, attendance drives, and educational exhibitions are scheduled to take place across the state.

Officials emphasized that the celebrations are designed to encourage active involvement from students, educators, parents, and community members. The overarching objective, according to the department, is to reposition government schools as comprehensive hubs for learning and all-round child development.
