Telangana Cabinet Meeting Shifted to May 23 at State Secretariat

The Telangana government has postponed its Cabinet meeting from May 21 to May 23, relocating the session from its originally planned venue to the State Secretariat in Hyderabad.

The administration had initially scheduled the meeting for 3 pm on May 21 with Yadagirigutta designated as the location. The rescheduling became necessary following the commencement of Saraswati River Anthya Pushkaralu celebrations on that date.

While initial speculation suggested the Cabinet might convene at Yadagirigutta on May 23 coinciding with the Chief Minister's development-focused visit to the region, state officials clarified that the meeting would proceed at the Secretariat in Hyderabad. A formal order has been issued confirming this change.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao communicated the revised schedule through official channels.

Agenda for the May 23 Session

The Cabinet is expected to deliberate on the framework and prerequisites for the Indiramma housing initiative, which the government aims to roll out beginning June 2.

Among other matters on the table are a review of HAM road development initiatives following the completion of tender procedures, examination of land value assessments, irrigation-related projects, and healthcare coverage for government employees and retirees.

The ministers are also likely to address fresh employment recruitment opportunities and the distribution of residential plots for members of the media fraternity.
