June 19, 2026

Tata Motors has announced that it will implement price hikes of up to 2.5% across its commercial vehicle portfolio starting 1 July 2026.

The company cited rising commodity costs and increased input expenses as the primary drivers behind the adjustment. The magnitude of the price increase will differ across individual models and their respective variants.

Tata Motors Ltd., which operates as part of the USD 180 billion Tata Group conglomerate, stands as India's largest manufacturer of utility vehicles, pick-ups, trucks, and buses, with significant recognition in global markets. The company's eight-decade track record in the commercial mobility sector has been built on a foundation of innovation, dependable performance, and technological advancement.

The manufacturer offers advanced powertrains, connected vehicle technologies, and fleet management solutions designed to serve diverse needs—ranging from final-mile logistics operations to mass transit systems. These offerings play a crucial role in supporting India's economic infrastructure.

Operating under the brand philosophy of "Better Always," the company develops solutions tailored for contemporary market demands while prioritising customer satisfaction and long-term sustainable expansion. Tata Motors maintains operational facilities in India and South Korea, with business activities spanning Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and South Asian nations.

Following a restructuring arrangement approved by the National Company Law Tribunal's Mumbai division in October 2025, the company transitioned from its previous entity name TML Commercial Vehicles Limited to Tata Motors Limited. Its shares trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange (code 544569) and the National Stock Exchange (code TMCV).
