Hyderabad Police Dismantle Illegal Ginger-Garlic Paste Manufacturing Operation

Hyderabad law enforcement has dismantled an illegal manufacturing unit producing adulterated ginger-garlic paste in Wahed Nagar, located within the Malakpet police station jurisdiction. The Charminar Zone Task Force conducted a raid following a tip-off and uncovered large-scale production of substandard goods.

During the operation, investigators found that the facility was operating under severely compromised sanitary conditions and without proper quality control measures. The unit's operators were reportedly adding acetic acid to the paste to artificially extend its shelf life, a practice that violates food safety regulations.

The raid yielded substantial seizures including containers of adulterated paste, chemical additives, grinding and packaging machinery, as well as empty packaging materials bearing counterfeit brand labels. The facility was using well-known brand names without authorization to market its products.

Officials discovered that the operation had been supplying the fraudulently branded paste to grocery retailers and food establishments throughout various neighborhoods in the city. The use of substandard raw materials and lack of basic hygiene protocols compounded the food safety violations at the facility.

Police have arrested the primary operator and initiated legal proceedings. Investigators are also looking into the involvement of accomplices who may have assisted in the operation.

The Task Force has announced an intensified campaign against the production and distribution of adulterated food products throughout Hyderabad. Authorities are urging consumers to verify manufacturing dates, brand authenticity, and product quality information before purchasing packaged food items.
