Fatal Collision: Motorcyclist Killed When Tanker Lorry Strikes Bike in Tandur

A fatal road accident in Tandur town claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Thursday evening when a tanker lorry struck his two-wheeler near the Hanuman Temple at Srirampuram.
Ravi Goud, a resident of Thimmaipalli village in Kosgi mandal, was riding his motorcycle bearing registration number TS 34 H 1978 on the route from Tandur towards Mahabubnagar when the collision occurred. A tanker vehicle with registration number AP 39 UM 2826 allegedly struck the motorcycle from behind or alongside, causing Goud to fall onto the roadway. The heavy tanker then ran over him, killing him instantly at the scene.
Law enforcement personnel arrived at the location following notification of the accident. The driver of the tanker lorry was immediately taken into police custody, and the vehicle was impounded for examination as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The deceased's body was transported to the district hospital where medical professionals conducted a postmortem examination. Investigators have registered a formal case and are examining the factors that led to the collision, including road conditions and the circumstances surrounding the impact near the temple area in Tandur town.
