Hyderabad's tech and business infrastructure received a significant boost this week with the opening of Heineken Business Services India, a new Global Capability Centre established by the international brewing giant.

IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu presided over the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday. The facility, positioned in the Financial District, encompasses 76,000 square feet and will serve as a central hub for the company's operations in finance, digital services, technology, and analytics.

The establishment marks an important expansion for Heineken in India and underscores Hyderabad's growing appeal as a destination for multinational capability centres. The company has committed to creating more than 300 positions in the initial phase, with plans to scale employment to 1,600 over the coming years.

With operations spanning over 150 years in the global brewing industry, Heineken maintains a presence in more than 190 countries and operates approximately 165 breweries across 70-plus nations. The company's decision to establish this centre reflects confidence in the region's workforce and business environment.

The inauguration drew participation from several key figures within Heineken's leadership structure. Harold van den Broek, who serves as Executive Board Member and Chief Financial Officer, attended alongside Yolanda Talamo, the Chief People Officer. Ronald den Elzen, Chief Digital and Technology Officer, and Akos Magyari, Senior Director of Heineken Business Services, were also present at the event.

State Excise and Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao joined the proceedings, as did Vivek Gupta, Managing Director of United Breweries Limited, and Garima Singh, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
