The Billionaires for Peace Conclave (BFP), a flagship gathering of global leaders, Nobel Laureates, and philanthropists in India, has announced a partnership with actor Sonu Sood and the Sood Charity Foundation ahead of its May 21, 2026 event at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

Coordinated by the I Am Peacekeeper Movement (IAPM), the conclave will convene approximately 280 leaders, among them Nobel Peace Prize recipients Kailash Satyarthi, Leymah Roberta Gbowee, Mohan Munasinghe, and Houcine Abassi. The gathering will also include multinational business figures, government officials, and social entrepreneurs dedicated to fostering peace, sustainability, and human dignity.

Sood's involvement brings considerable credibility to the initiative. The actor garnered international recognition for his humanitarian work during the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving the United Nations UNDP SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award. His approach to service emphasizes accessibility and habit formation. "You don't need to get big to start," he has stated, and he champions the idea of introducing "Giving" as a formal subject in school curricula, positioned alongside traditional academic disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Speaking on his participation, Sood remarked: "Being part of the Billionaires for Peace Conclave is very close to my heart, because it's not just about conversations, it's about responsibility. Over the years, I've realised that real change doesn't come from how much you have, but from how willing you are to show up for someone who needs you. Through the Sood Charity Foundation, we've tried to build that mindset every day where helping people is not an occasional act, but a continuous commitment. Platforms like this bring together people who have the power to influence millions, and if that influence is directed towards compassion and action, the impact can be far-reaching. I truly believe peace begins when we start caring for each other in small, consistent ways and that's something each one of us can do, starting now."

This perspective resonates with the I Am Peacekeeper Movement's foundational principles, which include "Giving" among its seven core values.

The Sood Charity Foundation operates across multiple sectors including education, healthcare, vocational training, and emergency assistance, serving economically disadvantaged populations throughout India. This operational scope lends practical weight to the BFP platform.

Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, commenting on the conclave's significance, stated: "The Billionaires for Peace Conclave is about aligning influence with intent. With Nobel Laureates and global leaders coming together, Mumbai offers a powerful platform to drive meaningful conversations and real-world impact toward peace and sustainability."

The event will feature a roster of prominent attendees, including Dr. Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment; Savji Dholakia, Founder & Chairman of Hari Krishna Group; Motilal Oswal, Chairman & MD of Motilal Oswal Financial Services; and international figures such as Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, Chairperson of the Louis Dreyfus Group.

The Billionaires for Peace Conclave functions as an international forum bringing together Nobel Prize winners, corporate leaders, government representatives, and development advocates to facilitate dialogue and coordinated initiatives on peace, sustainability, and international collaboration. Following the success of last year's Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit held at Expo City, Dubai, the Mumbai gathering underscores India's expanding prominence as a venue for consequential global discourse.
