27-Year-Old Site Engineer Dies in Fall from Fifth-Floor Construction Site in Hyderabad

A tragic incident at a construction site near Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad has claimed the life of a young site engineer. The fatality occurred approximately two weeks prior, with details emerging on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhanuj, aged 27, originally from Nizamabad district. He was employed as a site engineer on a hostel construction project located in Koti, where he fell from the fifth floor of the building under construction.

According to Sultan Bazar Police Inspector Naresh, Dhanuj lost his footing and plummeted while engaged in taking measurements for a wall being constructed on the fifth floor. The injuries sustained in the fall proved fatal.

The police have initiated a formal investigation into the matter. Sultan Bazar Police have registered a case and are examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Concerns have been raised by several individuals regarding the safety protocols at the construction site. Some observers have suggested that insufficient safety precautions may have played a role in the tragedy. Allegations have also been made that the site was missing fundamental safety equipment typically required for work performed at elevated heights. At present, the police have not substantiated these claims through their investigation.
