Telangana Media Academy to Host Electoral Roll Revision Briefing for Press on June 22

Hyderabad's Telangana Media Academy will conduct an information session on June 22 focused on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, aimed at helping journalists understand the voter registration update process.

The two-hour event will take place at the Media Academy Auditorium located on Chapel Road in Nampally, starting at 11 am on Monday. The Chief Electoral Officer's office is partnering with the Academy to deliver the session, which will equip media professionals with insights into how electoral rolls are revised and implemented.

During the briefing, representatives from the Chief Electoral Officer's office will outline the goals and mechanics of the Special Intensive Revision initiative. They will cover topics including voter registration procedures, corrections to electoral rolls, mechanisms for public involvement, and other procedural elements of the revision exercise.

The session will provide journalists with an opportunity to pose questions directly to officials and seek clarification on matters pertaining to the electoral roll revision programme. The event is scheduled to conclude by 1 pm.
