B. Shivadhar Reddy Takes Over as Telangana's State Security Advisor

Hyderabad: B. Shivadhar Reddy, a former Police Director General, officially took office on Wednesday as Telangana's State Security Advisor, beginning his three-year tenure at the Integrated Command and Control Centre in the city.
The veteran law enforcement officer will guide the state administration on matters spanning internal security, law and order maintenance, criminal investigations, drug trafficking prevention, and traffic safety protocols.
Government representatives noted that Reddy brings considerable expertise in internal security matters and counter-insurgency operations to this new position. Throughout his policing career, he has held significant posts overseeing intelligence operations, law enforcement strategies, and security coordination across Telangana.
Shortly after formally assuming his responsibilities, Reddy met with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan. The occasion was marked by congratulations from senior law enforcement figures, including Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar and other ranking officers. Representatives from both the Home and Police departments participated in the proceedings at the command centre.
The government has entrusted Reddy with oversight of critical security functions including crime prevention initiatives, substance abuse control, and comprehensive road safety strategies. Officials anticipate that his background in counter-Naxal campaigns and intelligence networking will strengthen the state's security framework and strategic planning efforts.
