Hyderabad: In preparation for Telangana Formation Day festivities scheduled for Tuesday at Secunderabad's Parade Grounds, law enforcement agencies have rolled out a multi-layered security framework alongside carefully planned traffic management protocols.

The police department will station approximately 1,140 officers across various divisions to oversee the event. This contingent comprises 507 personnel assigned to law and order duties, 358 traffic management staff, 125 members from the City Security Wing, 90 personnel from the Armed Reserve, and four platoons of the Telangana Special Police.

At strategic points around the celebration venue, authorities have positioned specialized tactical units. The deployment includes OCTOPUS commandos, Special Operations Teams, and bomb disposal units. Additional support will come from canine detection squads, information technology and communication specialists, and central command and control centres.

Traffic management and alternative parking arrangements have been established to accommodate visitors. Five designated parking zones have been identified, including Gymkhana Ground, Bison Polo Ground, MES Chief Engineer Office premises, and Centenary High School in the Sweekar Upkar area.

Road restrictions will take effect from 7 am through 12 noon on all routes converging at Parade Grounds. Residents and commuters in Begumpet, Secunderabad, Trimulgherry, Bowenpally, Tank Bund and surrounding localities have been advised to plan alternate routes during this window. Police have requested that all vehicle operators adhere to traffic advisories and comply with instructions from on-ground personnel.
