Hyderabad: The Telangana administration has announced plans to conduct the Saraswati Pushkaralu festivities at Kaleshwaram, a prominent spiritual destination situated in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, spanning from May 21 through June 1.

Endowments Minister Konda Surekha formally extended an invitation to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to grace the Pushkaralu observances during a ceremony held at Praja Bhavan. The invitation programme was attended by M. Hanumantha Rao, Director of the Endowments Department, alongside other senior administrative officials. Vedic scholars recited traditional Vedic hymns to bestow blessings upon the Deputy Chief Minister during the event.

The 12-day religious festival will commence with the first ritual bathing at 5:43 am on May 21, as communicated by Konda Surekha to the Deputy Chief Minister. Kanchi Peethadhipathi Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamy is scheduled to conduct the inaugural Pushkar snanam.

Throughout the Pushkaralu period, the state will arrange daily Ganga Harathi ceremonies at the Triveni Sangamam. The government has prioritised comprehensive logistical arrangements to facilitate a seamless experience for the numerous devotees expected to visit the sacred site during the festival. State officials are actively coordinating all preparatory measures to minimise disruptions for pilgrims journeying to this holy destination during the celebrations.
