Kaleshwaram to Host Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu for 12 Days Starting May 21

Hyderabad: Telangana's Endowments, Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha has announced that the Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu will be conducted at Kaleshwaram over a 12-day period beginning May 21 and concluding on June 1.
The minister, alongside IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, unveiled the official poster and promotional teaser at the state Secretariat on Wednesday. The event is anticipated to attract approximately 30 lakh pilgrims to the temple.
To prepare for this significant religious gathering, the state government has undertaken 162 infrastructure projects totalling ₹30.63 crore. These developmental initiatives are designed to enhance visitor access and improve facilities throughout the venue.
State authorities are prioritising arrangements to ensure smooth darshan experiences and facilitate the holy dip. Officials have been directed to establish a secure and comfortable environment equipped with necessary amenities for the large influx of devotees.
Surekha highlighted the state's track record in managing major religious events, noting the successful conduct of the Saraswati Aadi Pushkaralu and Sammakka Saralamma Jatara. She also indicated that preparations are underway for the Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled for the following year.
Duddilla Sridhar Babu instructed officials to complete all pending works at least 10 days before the event begins. He emphasised the need for inter-departmental coordination to prevent traffic disruptions and thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allocating ₹198 crore towards the redevelopment of the Kaleshwaram temple.
According to Endowments Department Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, the inaugural ritual will commence at 5:43 am on the opening day, with Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati presiding over the ceremony. The Governor has been invited to attend the inauguration.
Each subsequent day will feature a holy dip performed by a different seer. Evening prayers will be conducted daily at 6:30 pm at the Triveni Sangam, with priests from Kashi conducting the religious ceremonies.
Jayashankar Bhupalpally Collector Rahul Sharma and Kaleshwaram Temple Trust Chairman Mohan Sharma were present at the announcement event, along with officials from the Endowments Department.
