Samsung Rolls Out One UI 9 Beta Program for Galaxy S26 Devices

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its One UI 9 beta program, rolling out this week to Galaxy S26 series users. Powered by the latest Android 17 platform, the beta brings a range of enhancements spanning creative capabilities, personalization features, accessibility improvements, and security fortifications.

The company has indicated that the complete One UI 9 experience will debut alongside upcoming Galaxy flagship models later this year, featuring sophisticated AI-driven capabilities designed to streamline mobile interactions.

Key Features in One UI 9 Beta

The update introduces several notable improvements across different aspects of the mobile experience.

Samsung Notes has received creative enhancements, including decorative tape options and an expanded selection of pen stroke styles. The Contacts application now provides seamless integration with Creative Studio, allowing users to design customized profile cards without switching between different apps.

The redesigned Quick Panel grants users enhanced control over customization. Users can now independently adjust brightness, sound, and media player controls, with additional sizing choices to match individual needs.

Accessibility enhancements represent a significant focus area. The Mouse Key speed has been made adjustable for smoother cursor navigation, while a unified TalkBack feature consolidates capabilities previously distributed separately by Google and Samsung. A new Text Spotlight function magnifies or clarifies selected text in a floating display window, improving readability.

Security has been strengthened through better threat detection mechanisms. The system now identifies high-risk applications and alerts users, prevents their installation and execution, and suggests removal through security policy updates.

Where to Access the Beta

The One UI 9 beta program will be accessible to Galaxy S26 series users across multiple regions, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, beginning this week. Interested Galaxy S26 users can enroll in the beta through the Samsung Members application.
