Samsung Launches Galaxy A27 5G with Enhanced Display and AI Capabilities

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy A27 5G, positioning the handset as a refined successor to the Galaxy A26 5G with meaningful upgrades across display technology, processing power, and artificial intelligence capabilities designed to enhance everyday mobile experiences.

Display and Design Refinements

The new device comes equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen delivering a 120 Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and responsive interactions. Samsung has implemented an upgraded Infinity-O display with a refined punch-hole camera design that reduces the visible notch area, thereby expanding usable screen real estate while minimizing visual interruptions. The bezels have been rebalanced and trimmed, further maximizing the display-to-body ratio. The handset measures just 7.8 mm in thickness, emphasizing portability and ergonomic comfort during extended use.

Processing and Camera Capabilities

The Galaxy A27 5G draws power from Snapdragon's 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, delivering responsive performance across multitasking scenarios and app switching. The processor includes GPU enhancements that smooth graphics rendering for gaming and video streaming applications. Memory architecture has been upgraded to enable faster data transfers and improved energy efficiency throughout daily operation.

The front-facing camera has been upgraded to 12 megapixels with enhanced light sensitivity and color reproduction, enabling more faithful selfie capture across varied lighting environments.

Advanced AI Integration

Samsung has expanded the device's artificial intelligence toolkit with several meaningful additions. Circle to Search with Google now recognizes multiple objects within a single image simultaneously, enabling users to search for multiple items—such as clothing and accessories—in one action. The feature also supports virtual try-on functionality, allowing users to preview outfits directly from search results.

Object Eraser has received precision improvements, producing more natural-looking results when removing unwanted elements from photos. The Voice Recorder application now incorporates real-time translation capabilities during transcription, supporting 22 languages to streamline multilingual note-taking during meetings and conversations.

The device provides integration with multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini and Perplexity, alongside deeper native app support across the Galaxy ecosystem. Bixby functions as a conversational device agent, enabling voice-based control of settings and features through natural language commands.

Security and Long-Term Support

Samsung is backing the Galaxy A27 5G with extended software support, offering up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates along with six years of security patches from the global launch date. The device incorporates Samsung Knox security architecture with hardware-backed protection through Knox Vault, safeguarding sensitive user information.

Market Availability

The Galaxy A27 5G launches July 3 across select markets in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink colorways. Samsung Care+ provides optional extended coverage with device protection benefits tailored to user requirements.
