Telangana Chief Minister inaugurates massive ₹99-crore redevelopment of Yadagirigutta temple

Hyderabad: A sweeping modernisation initiative at the historic Yadagirigutta temple complex was set in motion on Saturday when Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy formally inaugurated multiple development projects valued at ₹99.55 crore.
The ambitious undertaking encompasses several components designed to enhance both the spiritual and physical experience of devotees visiting the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. The Chief Minister presided over the foundation-laying ceremony for the various initiatives that will reshape the sacred site.
Among the major projects launched was a Veda Pathashala facility, budgeted at ₹43.80 crore, aimed at promoting Vedic studies at the temple. The Chief Minister also inaugurated construction of a Lord's Nitya Kalyana Mandapam positioned atop the hill, with an estimated cost of ₹9.87 crore.
Infrastructure improvements form a significant part of the development plan. These include a protective roof structure spanning the stairway connecting Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop, pegged at ₹1.41 crore. Additionally, new steps are being constructed along the Mada Veedhis near the Rathashala at an outlay of ₹1.35 crore.
Recognising the needs of pilgrims undertaking extended religious practices, the government has allocated ₹43.12 crore for dormitory halls and accommodation facilities for devotees observing Deeksha.
The ceremony drew a substantial gathering of state dignitaries and elected representatives. Gutta Sukender Reddy was present along with Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha, and Adluri Laxman Kumar. Members of Parliament Vemula Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy attended the event, alongside various MLAs, MLCs, and senior government officials.
