Telangana CM Pledges Krishna River Water Supply to Kodangal Constituency

Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, has committed to securing Krishna river water supplies for Kodangal constituency, marking a significant pledge during his visit to the region on Friday. The Chief Minister oversaw the launch and inauguration of multiple developmental initiatives while also laying the foundation stone for a Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple project, with an estimated budget of Rs 110 crore.

Ministers Damodar Rajanarasimha and Vakiti Srihari participated in the day's proceedings.

At the event, Revanth Reddy outlined his vision to transform the Kodangal temple into a major spiritual destination that would serve as an accessible alternative to Tirupati for economically disadvantaged devotees. He emphasized that the constituency had historically lacked ministerial representation, forcing residents to seek assistance from outside leaders to address community concerns.

The Chief Minister highlighted a fundamental shift in this dynamic, noting that his dual role as both the MLA for Kodangal and head of the state government ensures direct representation for the constituency. He assured residents of comprehensive development across all sectors and called upon them to observe the tangible progress taking place in their region.

Revanth Reddy referenced his demanding work schedule, noting he dedicates nearly 18 hours daily to governance, yet acknowledged that numerous public issues demand continued attention. He pointed to the government's implementation of various welfare programmes designed to support economically weaker sections throughout the state.

In a significant development announcement, the Chief Minister disclosed that land acquisition for the Kodangal-Narayanpet lift irrigation scheme has been finalized. He emphasized that financial constraints would not impede project implementation and directed Minister Vakiti Srihari to ensure rigorous oversight of execution to expedite completion.

Additionally, Revanth Reddy indicated that construction activities for the Vikarabad-Krishna railway line initiative are set to commence in the near future.
