Telangana Government Commits to Expanding Ex-Servicemen Support Systems

Hyderabad: Telangana's Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has pledged strengthened backing for ex-servicemen welfare initiatives following discussions with Brigadier N.R. Babu (Retd), the Director of Sainik Welfare, held on Wednesday.
The dialogue centred on measures designed to reinforce the support infrastructure available to retired military personnel across Telangana. A key proposal tabled by Brigadier Babu involved creating a dedicated Telangana Ex-Servicemen Corporation to enhance welfare programmes and furnish improved institutional backing for veterans in the state.
The Chief Minister responded favourably to this proposition, instructing administrative officials to develop the necessary organisational framework. He also requested that they examine comparable institutional models currently operating in other Indian states.
Among the other matters raised during the meeting was the scheduling of the Rajya Sainik Board, a long-overdue assembly that the Chief Minister chairs. Revanth Reddy indicated his willingness to explore the feasibility of convening this meeting without further delay.
The constitution of the State Managing Committee, which operates under the Governor's leadership, was another topic of discussion. The Chief Minister committed to issuing the requisite administrative orders promptly.
Reiterating his administration's dedication to improving the lives of former servicemen and their dependents, Revanth Reddy invited retired personnel and their families to channel any additional grievances or requests through his office, assuring them of thorough examination.
CM Special Secretary Ajit Reddy and Regional Sainik Welfare Officer Srinesh Kumar Nori were present during the meeting.
