Telangana Chief Minister Mourns Passing of Justice G Chandraiah

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has mourned the death of Justice G Chandraiah, describing his passing as a significant loss to the judicial system.
Justice Chandraiah had held several prominent positions throughout his legal career, serving as a judge on the combined Andhra Pradesh High Court and presiding as Chairman of the Telangana Human Rights Commission. In his statement, the Chief Minister acknowledged the Justice's extensive contributions to the legal profession and his commitment to public service.
During his career, Justice Chandraiah held multiple roles including standing counsel for various government departments, member of the High Court Legal Services Committee, and government pleader. The Chief Minister noted that Justice Chandraiah was originally from Timmapur in the former Adilabad district.
Justice Chandraiah was particularly recognised for his judicial work addressing human rights violations and social inequality. Throughout his tenure, he delivered several landmark judgments that reflected his dedication to advancing social justice and safeguarding fundamental rights.
The Chief Minister characterised Justice Chandraiah's death as an irreplaceable loss to the judiciary and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family members. Revanth Reddy also offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul.
