Authorities in Hyderabad have moved to detain two criminal suspects under preventive detention provisions following their alleged involvement in serious offences including murder, extortion, and violent intimidation.

The action was undertaken by Rein Bazar Police following directives from V. C. Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad City. The two individuals named in the detention orders are Omer Bin Hamza Al Jabri and Ali Bin Hamza Al Jabri.

Police records indicate that Omer Bin Hamza Al Jabri faces charges across eight criminal cases, while Ali Bin Hamza Al Jabri is implicated in seven cases. The charges span offences related to murder, attempted murder, extortion, and criminal intimidation. Beyond formal charges, authorities allege that both individuals have engaged in threatening behaviour toward residents and fostered an atmosphere of fear within the community.

Rein Bazar Police submitted formal proposals requesting preventive detention based on the persistent pattern of serious criminal conduct exhibited by the accused. Following examination of the severity of the alleged offences and the criminal histories involved, authorities approved the detention orders.

Police officials stated that the detention measures are intended to forestall further criminal activity that could compromise public order and safety. The Hyderabad City Police Department has also issued a broader warning to habitual offenders, criminal rowdy elements, and anti-social individuals against engaging in activities that undermine law and order.

Officials have pledged to maintain stringent enforcement action against persons demonstrating a pattern of repeated criminal involvement.
