RBVRR Telangana Police Academy Celebrates Four Decades of Police Training Excellence

Hyderabad: The Raja Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy (RBVRR) Telangana Police Academy observed its 40th Raising Day through a series of ceremonial events bringing together Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, former Directors, senior law enforcement officials, and representatives from collaborative institutions.
The milestone celebrations underscored the Academy's four-decade track record in police training and its contributions to public service across the state.
Speaking at the event, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla highlighted the institution's enduring emphasis on discipline, dedication, and service. He acknowledged the Academy's pivotal role in developing young recruits into conscientious, community-focused police officers.
The Governor further commended Telangana Police for implementing technology-enabled and community-responsive policing approaches throughout the region.
Abhilasha Bisht IPS, who heads the Academy, reflected on the institution's 40-year evolution in cultivating professional police leadership. She stressed that contemporary policing demands technological fluency, principled leadership, and psychological resilience among officers.
She reiterated the Academy's dedication to delivering competency-driven training programmes that place citizens at the centre of police service delivery.
The festivities encompassed multiple activities beyond formal ceremonies, including athletic competitions, blood donation initiatives, and educational sessions on cyber security and modern policing practices for trainees.
The event drew participation from ranking police officials, retired Directors of the Academy, and officials from affiliated organisations.
Moving forward, the Academy has pledged to maintain its focus on professional standards and service-oriented training methodologies in its continued mission to strengthen police forces in Telangana.
