Telangana BJP Chief Takes Metro in Push for Fuel Conservation

Hyderabad: In a demonstration of the BJP's commitment to fuel conservation, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao commuted via Metro Rail between Tarnaka and Jubilee Hills on Friday ahead of a scheduled programme.
The journey aligns with the "seven sutras" framework established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to advance economic self-reliance while curtailing fuel consumption. The party has instructed Union Ministers, Chief Ministers leading BJP-administered states, and senior party functionaries to adopt these principles nationwide.
Through his use of public transport, Ramchander Rao underscored three key objectives: reducing fuel expenditure, achieving financial efficiency, and promoting sustainable mobility options. During his commute, he engaged with fellow passengers and called upon them to back the Prime Minister's seven-point programme.
The BJP leader also urged commuters to embrace responsible transportation choices that would strengthen India's economic independence and resource management.
The broader initiative emphasises fuel economy, environmental stewardship, and judicious resource allocation while promoting greater reliance on public transit systems among citizens.
Party officials characterised the measures as instrumental in curbing wasteful fuel consumption and fostering disciplined civic conduct.
Separately, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has mandated that vehicle usage at Lok Bhavan be reduced by half. This directive, issued to state officials, forms part of the state's response to the nationwide fuel conservation campaign and broader efforts to ensure efficient resource deployment.
