Health Minister Slams NTA for NEET Exam Cancellation, Cites Lapses in Conduct

Hyderabad: Telangana's Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has strongly criticized the National Testing Agency regarding the cancellation of the NEET examination, asserting that the organization was unable to maintain proper standards in conducting the test.

In remarks released on Tuesday, the Minister highlighted that approximately 70,000 students in Telangana participated in this year's NEET, alongside more than 22 lakh students throughout India. He noted that these candidates are currently awaiting their examination results, but the sudden cancellation has introduced widespread uncertainty and anxiety within both student communities and their households.

The Minister contended that the NTA demonstrated a failure to incorporate lessons from previous controversies and neglected its responsibility to guarantee the examination's integrity. He charged that the agency's administrative shortcomings have jeopardized the educational prospects of millions of students across the nation.

"The cancellation has resulted in immense hardship for countless students and their families," Raja Narasimha stated.

The Minister called upon the Central government to act decisively and hold accountable those responsible for the situation. He further assured that the Telangana government remains committed to supporting the affected students and their families during this period of uncertainty.
