Telangana Shifts Rythu Bharosa Launch to Hyderabad as Heavy Rains Disrupt Khammam Event

Hyderabad — Continuous downpours have forced the Telangana administration to reschedule a major farmers' initiative originally planned for Khammam district. The Rythu Bharosa programme, which was slated to take place in Khammam, will now be held at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy overseeing the release of financial assistance funds.

The government had initially scheduled the gathering at Jagannathapuram in Chintakani mandal, located within the Madhira Assembly constituency. The event was designed to serve as a platform for the Chief Minister to launch the assistance scheme and address attendees, with organisers anticipating participation from approximately one lakh farmers.

Extensive groundwork had been undertaken ahead of the programme. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, alongside Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, had overseen comprehensive preparations for the occasion.

The relocation became necessary after two consecutive days of intense rainfall rendered the original venue unsuitable for conducting the event. District authorities notified the Chief Minister's Office that weather conditions made it impossible to proceed with the scheduled programme at the designated location.

Following this assessment, the administration cancelled the Khammam gathering and relocated operations to the Hyderabad venue. The Chief Minister instructed ministers and officials to expedite all logistical arrangements at Shilpakala Vedika to ensure the event proceeds as planned.

The restructured format will enable farmers across Telangana's various districts to engage with the programme through their respective Rythu Vedikas, while the Chief Minister formally releases the Rythu Bharosa assistance from the Hyderabad location.
